LAMINATE VENEER (PORCELAIN VENEER)

LAMINATE VENEERS

A beautiful smile has always been the main concern of aesthetics. Porcelain veneers are one of the most commonly used methods to provide aesthetic appearance. Although porcelain veneers can be basically defined as wafer-thin shells bonded onto the teeth, it is a process that should be done quite delicately.

A Natural and Minimally Invasive Solution

Porcelain veneers can be used to improve the appearance of teeth that may be discolored and/or malformed, slightly misaligned and have spaces between them. It will be enough to make some minor arrangements on the enamel and since porcelain veneers are transparent, translucence makes them look similar to the natural enamel. That’s why, it is the least interventional and the most natural and primary choice of treatment in patients with the highest aesthetic requirements.

Precise Preparation and Cementation Process

After determining the treatment, a customized treatment plan is developed, appropriate color and form are determined, and the outer surface of the teeth are prepared by taking their impression. There is no need for anesthesia as there will generally be no pain during the preparation of teeth and taking impression. The porcelain veneers must be prepared in a dental laboratory with a technical expertise since the laminate veneers are 0.3-0.5 mm in thickness.  After the try-in step is completed and both the dentist and the patient are satisfied with the result, the veneers are cemented on the teeth. Cementation of porcelain veneers are done with a special chemical. With this application called adhesive cementation, the tooth and the porcelain veneers are bonded.

Individualized Timeline and Enhanced Dental Functionality

As a result, the patient can bite and cut off something using their veneers without having any problems. The total treatment duration is between 5-8 days depending on the condition of the patient.
